Aston Villa are in a bit of a problem. Their start to the Premier League return was a decent one, but very soon it all changed and now the Birmingham side are sitting in relegation zone. To make things worse, this holiday season has not been kind to them, as Villa lost their main striker Wesley to an injury that will see him miss the rest of the season. This means a new striker must be signed.
And Express and Star are reporting that Aston Villa have ideas of who could join them this January. Dean Smith has been linked with Chelsea duo of strikers – Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi. These names make sense, considering that both Chelsea strikers are in a bad need of playing time, especially with the EURO 2020 getting closer every day.
The Frenchman and the Belgian need to start playing regularly if they are to play for their national sides this summer.
