Aston Villa are interested in signing Harry Maguire from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that Villa have made enquiries with United over a potential deal for Maguire and has told the Red Devils that they are ready to match any offers for the England international central defender.
Villa central defender Tyrone Mings suffered what seemed to be a very serious injury against Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon. Mings had to be taken off the pitch. The Villans plan to make a bid for Maguire only after learning the extent of the injury suffered by Mings.
Football Transfers has claimed that West Ham are also interested in Maguire and had a £30 million deal agreed with Manchester United. However, the Hammers are yet to agree personal terms with Maguire, who has two more years left on his current contract at the Red Devils.
