Aston Villa are interested in signing Darren Randolph from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the January transfer window, according to The London Evening Standard. The report has claimed that Villa have enquired about the availability of the 34-year-old Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper.
Villa manager Steven Gerrard is looking for cover for Emiliano Martinez, who is the first-choice goalkeeper at Villa Park. The Liverpool legend and former Rangers manager has identified Randolph as a target this month.
Lukasz Fabianski and Alphonse Areola are the two main goalkeepers at West Ham, and Randolph has fallen down the pecking order. The Hammers could decide to let the former Middlesbrough goalkeeper leave.
