Aston Villa open to offloading Jhon Duran

Aston Villa are willing to sell Jhon Duran in the January transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The report has claimed that Newcastle United are interested in signing Duran in the middle of the season, and that Villa manager Unai Emery is open to the idea of cashing in on the forward.

Duran has been on the books of Villa since 2023. The Colombia international striker has scored four goals in five substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season. The 20-year-old has also scored one goal in one Carabao Cup match for the Villans.

Villa are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 12 points from five matches, a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City. As for Newcastle, Eddie Howe’s side currently find themselves sixth in the league table with 10 points from five games.
