Aston Villa plan £30m bid for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard

Aston Villa are interested in signing Odsonne Edouard from Celtic in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun. It has been reported that the Premier League club are planning to make a bid of £30 million to secure the services of the French striker from the Scottish Premiership outfit.

Crystal Palace and Leicester City are also interested in 22-year-old, according to the report, which has added that Arsenal may drop out of his race. However, it remains to be seen if Edouard is willing to move to a club in the Premier League who narrowly avoided the dreaded drop to the Championship at the end of last season and could struggle again in 2020-21.

While Villa are a big club, Edouard could create history with Celtic this season, as the Hoops are chasing their 10th Scottish Premiership title in a row and are favourites to win the championship again in 2020-21.
