According to a recent report from Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa could add one or two new signings in the January transfer window.
That comes straight from the club’s chief executive, Christian Purslow, who believes that more additions could come through the door in order to further assist the rise of Steven Gerrard as the club’s new manager.
It’s not yet known what areas they’re going to try and address but one thing is for sure – Villa are feeling themselves under Gerrard.
They’ve won two from two to kickstart their run under the former Rangers man and they’re showing no signs of slowing down. Sure, the Premier League is unpredictable and you never know what’s going to come next, but it’s good to see that Villa are willing to get behind their man.
They want to push for a place in the top six and investment is the right way to go about doing that.
