Aston Villa want Abraham?

According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Aston Villa have been put “on alert” after it was made clear Chelsea are ready to sell Tammy Abraham.

Abraham enjoyed an incredibly successful loan spell in the second city with Villa between 2018 and 2019, with the switch really being the catalyst behind Abraham being given an extended opportunity at Stamford Bridge.

Unfortunately that opportunity seems to have diminished as time has gone on which, in itself, is odd given his ability to completely change the trajectory of a game in the blink of an eye.

Villa started off like a house on fire this season but they could use another injection of life if they’re serious about a European push in 2021/22. Even if they aren’t, a top forward could alter the way they play and invite more chances to score goals – with Abraham already having a pretty good understanding of how the club operates.
