Aston Villa are interested in signing Max Aarons from Norwich City in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph. Norwich have been relegated to the Championship, and the Canaries are likely to sell some of their best players.
Aarons has been on the books of Norwich since 2016 and has established himself as an important player in the team. According to WhoScored, the England Under-21 international provided one assist in 36 Premier League games for the Canaries this past season, and scored two goals and provided six assists in 41 Championship matches during the 2018-19 campaign.
Villa narrowly avoided the dreaded drop from the Premier League and need to reinforce their squad this summer in order to be more competitive next season. Aarons is a very talented and promising young right-back who will get better in the coming years, and his experience and success in the top flight of English football suggests that he will make an immediate impact at Villa Park.
