Aston Villa are interested in signing Kyle Walker from Premier League rivals Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. Villa manager Unai Emery wants to sign a right-back, and former Tottenham star Walker is reportedly on the radar of the ex-Arsenal boss.
Walker has made 15 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for City so far this season. The 32-year-old English right-back has also played three times in the FA Cup, once in the Carabao Cup and once in the UEFA Champions League for Pep Guardiola’s side so far this campaign.
Villa are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 50 points from 31 matches. The Villans are six points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United, who have played 30 matches. Meanwhile, Manchester City currently find themselves second in the league table with 70 points from 30 matches, four points behind leaders Arsenal, who have played 31 games.
