With the mood in their camp at a season-high, Atalanta will make the trip to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Bologna may have put in a plucky display against AC Milan last weekend, they could only slump to a 3-2 defeat and have continued to show some glaring issues at the back. Also putting in a woeful display and crashing out of the Coppa Italia thanks to a 4-0 hammering against Udinese earlier in the month, Siniša Mihajlović’s men have lost five of their last seven contests and have recorded just a single victory across any format since the 27th of October. Even more worrying, Bologna have won just one of their last six matches at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara and Sunday could prove to be yet another long afternoon.

As for the visitors, pulling off a remarkable comeback to secure a spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Champions League, Atalanta find themselves in the midst of a real purple patch. Picking up a 3-0 win away at Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek, Gian Piero Gasperini’s men have now won each of their last four matches on the bounce and have their sights set on mounting another top-four charge. A huge part of Atalanta’s recent resurge has been down to their stellar form in the final third. Bagging nine goals in just their last three matchups, no side in Serie A can boast a better attacking return than Sunday’s guests.
