Serie A hot-shots Atalanta have opted to activate the option to buy the Albania international goalkeeper Etrit Berisha from Lazio.
The 28-year-old shot stopper spent the 2016/17 season on loan at Sampdoria and the Orobici have moved on to confirm on their website that a permanent deal was yesterday agreed for the Albanian. Financial details of the transfer have not been disclosed.
Etrit Berisha made the total of 27 Serie A appearances for Atalanta last season. He put in a string of impressive displays to help his club to the fourth place in the standings and a place in the UEFA Europa League.
A key figure in Atalanta’s remarkable campaign, Berisha kept 11 clean sheets and it is no wonder that the Orobici have decided to make his stay at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia in Bergamo permanent.
Etrit Berisha moved to Italy in 2013 when he joined Lazio from the Swedish powerhouse Kalmar.
