Atalanta confirm interest in star trio

Atalanta have confirmed reports that star players Ezequiel Schelotto, Manolo Gabbiadini and Federico Peluso are followed by top European clubs.

The Serie A side are well known for their impressive youth academy and not a season goes by that one of their players doesn’t join a top European club.

The Orobici have enjoyed a very promising campaign upon their return to Serie A, and have promoted several talented players in the process.

Atalanta sporting director Pierpaolo Marino confirms that several clubs have enquired about Federico Peluso and Ezequiel Schelotto.

“We have received serious requests regarding information about Peluso andSchelotto, but there haven’t been any official offers for those two,” Marino told Eco di Bergamo.

On the other hand, the official claims that they have received an official offer for striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

“For Gabbiadini, however, there is an offer. It is a serious and precise proposal.”

The 20-year-old forward was recently linked with Borussia Dortmund, and he looks set to leave Bergamo at the end of the season.

Winger Schelotto, who was named in provisional Italy squad for Euro 2012, is followed by Inter and Roma, whereas left-back Peluso has attracted attention from Juventus and Napoli.
