Serie A outfit Atalanta have moved to confirm that Italian champions Juventus are in pole position to sign Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie.
The 19-year-old has quickly become one of the hottest commodities in Italian Serie A and everything suggests he will be leaving Orobici for greener pastures.
Top European clubs such as Juventus and Barcelona have been casting admiring glances his way, and it would appear as though the Bianconeri have the upper hand at the moment.
Atalanta sporting director Rino Foschi has confirmed that Juventus are keen and even advised the youngster to move to Turin at the earliest opportunity.
“Juventus have supervised Kessie several times and asked us a lot of questions about the player, and also about his character,” Foschi told Tuttosport.
“All the top clubs are following him, but if I had to advise him on the (next) destination, I would tell him to go to Juventus.”
Franck Kessie set the Serie A alight with his performances this season, bagging 5 goals in 12 league outings and helping Atalanta enjoy one of the best starts to a league campaign in history.
Orobici, however, seem perfectly aware that they will be powerless to prevent the Ivorian from leaving if top clubs come calling, meaning Juventus have a good chance to wrap up the deal ahead of the January window.
