Atalanta are preparing an offer for Tammy Abraham, according to Fabrizio Romano. However, their move for the Chelsea striker depends on whether Inter Milan sell Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea and the Nerazzurri come for Duvan Zapata as a replacement for the Belgium international.
Arsenal are also reportedly interested in Abraham, but it remains to be seen if the Gunners persist in the race against Atalanta who are willing to pay €40 million for the services of the 23-year-old. What’s more, Chelsea would be happier to sell the player abroad than to a Premier League rival.
As things stand, it seems that Lukaku’s move back to Stamford Bridge may actually happen this month. Inter have already rejected an offer of €100m from the Champions League holders, but Chelsea are still persisting with the move and another bid, worth over €110m, is expected shortly. Lukaku is believed to be willing to make the switch and accept personal terms which should see him earn around €12m per season. Chelsea are very keen to get it done as soon as possible, having given up on the pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland who would cost considerably more this summer.
Chelsea are prepared to sell Tammy Abraham abroad if an agreement will be reached with Atalanta. Meeting in the next days to open talks. 🔵 #CFC
Atalanta are ready to offer €40m for Tammy… but only in case Inter will ask for Duván Zapata as potential Lukaku replacement.
