Atalanta set to sign Pasalic permanently

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Atalanta are set to completed the permanent signing of Mario Pasalic for a figure of around £13 million. The Serie A club decided to make his loan move from Chelsea a permanent one, after the 24 year old scored eight goals and put together six assists last season.

You’d have thought that with the lack of incoming transfers at Stamford Bridge, they may want to keep hold of some of their many stars that spent last season out on loan. Alas, they clearly don’t see Pasalic as a priority, meaning that he will therefore be making the jump over to Atalanta on a permanent basis. The Serie A club were able to secure Champions League football in a memorable league campaign, and now, they’re strengthening ahead of what is sure to be a fascinating venture into Europe’s biggest club competition.

Either way, Chelsea have some work to do this summer.
