Premier League giants have received an offer from La Liga side Athletic Bilbao who are keen on a reunion with former star Ander Herrera.
The 28-year-old midfielder has just one year left in his deal at Old Trafford and could end up leaving the Red Devils on a free transfer next summer.
Athletic Bilbao are not prepared to wait for such an outcome and have launched an attack in attempt to bring Herrera back home, according to Spanish paper El Correro.
AC Milan and Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest in Manchester United enforcer but Athletic Bilbao have already sent a proposal in order to beat the competition.
Ander Herrera remains highly regarded in Manchester although his role in the first team did diminish in recent months.
With Nemanja Matic pushing the Spaniard out of the fray Herrera is now supposedly on the list of dispensable players Jose Mourinho will look to replace with some fresh blood this summer.
