Atleti looking at Oxford

Atletico Madrid are considering a move for West Ham United defender Reece Oxford, according to the Telegraph.

The nineteen year old is currently on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach, having switched to the Bundesliga outfit for the second time this season last month.

He was the subject of an £8m bid from Monchengladbach in January though that was rejected by the Hammers, who value him at £12m.

Rb Leipzig are also interested in securing he teenager’s services though Atletico are keen to steal a march on their rivals with him favouring a move to the Spanish capital.

Oxford has played four times since arriving in Germany while he has racked up seventeen appearances in all competitions for his parent club, and also had a loan spell at Reading.

Internationally he has represented England at every level from U16 to U20, and could soon be set to be moved up to the U21s.
