Chilean newspaper La Tercera is reporting that Atletico Madrid and Benfica are hot on the trail of San Lorenzo defender Paulo Diaz.
The versatile defender has largely impressed since joining the Argentine giants from Palestino, making 43 league appearances and scoring 5 goals.
The 23-year-old has so far earned 11 Chile caps and is now widely expected to move to Europe at the end of the season.
Capable of covering any position in the back four, Paulo Diaz has become a hot commodity, with Atletico Madrid and Benfica leading the chase for his signature.
The Chilean has a deal until December 2019 at San Lorenzo which contains a quite affordable $5 million release clause.
