Atletico general manager has added fuel to speculations linking star striker Falcao with a January exit from Vicente Calderon.
The Colombian striker has confirmed his reputation as the world’s best centre forward with an impressive start to the season and he is now courted by top European clubs.
Atletico Madrid are doing everything they can to keep hold of their prized asset, but general manager Miguel Angel Gil Marin admits that an offer in the region of €60 million would be difficult to refuse.
“The €60 million for Falcaowould virtually solve all Atletico’s economic problems,” the Atletico Madrid chief explained to Radio Marca. “For sure. He and all the coaches want him to stay.”
Falcao revealed last week that he would like to continue his career in the Premier League, which was music to ears for Manchester City and Chelsea, who are keen on the highly rated forward.
The Colombian is currently involved in the three-way battle with Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi for the top goalscorer in La Liga, having bagged 8 goals in just 6 league appearances this season.
