Spanish daily newspaper AS has learned that Atletico Madrid are stepping up their efforts to recruit Besiktas winger Gokhan Tore.
Los Colchoneros seem determined to lure the Turkey hotshot to Vicente Calderon in the summer and they gave permission to Arda Turan’s agent Ahmed Bulut to negotiate a deal with Besiktas on their behalf.
Atletico Madrid presented the Turkish side an official offer worth €5 million, which would normally be seen as derisory, but the La Liga club appear well aware of Besiktas’ financial problems.
The Black Eagles desperately need cash to service outstanding debts and with Gokhan Tore also being owed wages for several months, the player, too, could help make the deal happen.
The Stamford Bridge graduate is playing the best football of his career at the moment and he has managed 9 goals and 11 assists in 43 competitive outings this season, while featuring in four Euro 2016 qualifiers for Turkey.
