Spanish radio Cadena SER is reporting that Atletico Madrid are weighing up a move for Granada defender Guilhere Siqueira.
Los Colchoneros want to have a replacement ready in case Filipe Luis leaves the club and they appear to be hot on the trail of his compatriot.
Guilherme Siqueira has impressed while on loan at Benfica, but even if the Eagles have the option to turn his loan deal into permanent move, they are unlikely to do so due to Brazilian’s high wage demands.
This could be a good opportunity for Atletico Madrid to secure his signature, although los Colchoneros are likely to face competition from Arsenal, Liverpool, Milan, Inter and Juventus.
Guilherme Siqueira has enjoyed a very successful season with Benfica, making a total of 33 competitive appearances and winning no less than three major trophies.
The 28-year-old is unlikely to be returning to Granada, with a big club move apparently on the cards.
