ESPN is reporting that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are hot on the trail of FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez.
The Colombian revealed few days ago that he had been given permission to leave the club this summer, and los Colchoneros have emerged as one of the favourites for his signature.
Atletico Madrid aim to recruit Jackson Martinez and in turn offload Mario Mandzukic, but winning the race for the 28-year-old footballer will be no easy task.
It is for that reason that los Colchoneros could include the likes of Oliver Torres and Raul Jimenez in the deal, with Porto keen on signing the two attackers.
Jackson Martinez has been one of world’s most prolific strikers in recent years, having bagged 67 goals in 90 league appearances for the Dragons.
He has been in stunning form during this year’s Champions League campaign, netting eight times to help Porto reach the quarter-finals.
