Atletico Madrid are readying bid for Saint Etienne midfielder Joshua Guilavogui, according to L’Equipe.
The same source has suggested that the talented midfielder informed club chiefs that he wants to leave amidst interest from los Colchoneros.
According to L’Equipe, Atletico Madrid are prepared to offer around €10 million for the 22-year-old footballer, which could prove enough to prize him away from Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
Los Colchoneros are in the market for a new holding midfielder as they lack cover for Gabi and Mario, and they seem to have made Guilavogui their number one target.
The France Under-21 international, who already played 3 games for the senior national team, has made no less than 96 Ligue 1 appearances for les Verts, scoring 6 goals.
After spending three seasons in the first team set-up, Guilavogui appears to believe that his future lies away from Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, and everything suggests he will be leaving Saint Etienne before the summer transfer window closes.
