Atletico Madrid are weighing up a move for Club America forward Raul Jimenez, AS has revealed.
Los Colchoneros have already recruited Mario Mandzukic and Antoine Griezmann, but with Diego Costa, David Villa, Adrian Lopez and Diego Ribas all leaving, chances are Diego Simeone will make another attacking signing.
And it appears the Argentine is hot on the trail of Club America starlet Raul Jimenez, who is widely tipped to move to Europe this summer.
After impressing in the Mexican elite division, the 23-year-old was not given a real chance to shine at the 2014 World Cup, making just one substitute appearance, but he has quickly rediscovered his scoring form.
Jimenez has already bagged four goals in as many league fixtures this season, and everything suggests the Mexican giants will not be able to ward off interest from Europe’s top clubs.
The talented forward has so far earned 26 Mexico caps and scored 4 goals in the process.
