Russian daily newspaper Izvestia has learned that Atletico Madrid are showing interest in Spartak Moscow midfielder Tino Costa.
Los Colchoneros look set to stay without Mario Suarez and they believe the Argentine midfielder would be an excellent replacement.
However, while Spartak hope to sell the player outright for a fee of €7 million, Atletico plan to sign him on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
The 29-year-old only joined the Russian giants last summer from Valencia, and while he enjoyed a good start to his career in Moscow, the midfielder suffered a major dip in form in the second part of the season.
He is reportedly looking to return to Spanish La Liga and chances are Spartak will not stand in his way as they plan to revamp the squad following the arrival of coach Murat Yakin.
Tino Costa has made a total of 24 league appearances this season, scoring 3 goals and producing another 5 assists for his teammates.
