Portuguese daily newspaper Record has suggested that Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on Sporting Braga midfielder Rafa Silva.
Los Colchoneros have been alerted of the player’s potential and will have their scouts present when Sporting Braga host Moreirense tomorrow evening.
Atletico Madrid will probably not be making their interest concrete in the January window, but they could come forward with an official proposal at the end of the season.
Bayer Leverkusen were the first high profile side to make a move on the 21-year-old footballer, before Southampton and Sevilla expressed their interest as well.
Rafa Silva, who represented Portugal at the 2014 World Cup, joined Braga from Feirense in the summer of 2013 and has since managed 12 goals and 3 assists in 55 competitive appearances.
The talented midfielder has a €25 million release clause in his current deal, but the Portuguese side only own some 30 per cent of his contract.
