Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on Monaco full-back Layvin Kurzawa, El Mundo Deportivo can reveal.
Los Colchoneros are short of quality options on the left flank seeing as Guilherme Siqueira has failed to live up to the billing and Cristian Ansaldi is set to return to Zenit.
As a result, Diego Simeone is eager to sign a quality left-sided defender in the summer, with Monaco’s Layvin Kurzawa high on his wish list.
The French defender has shown a great deal of potential after coming through the youth ranks at Stade Louis II, but it appears the time has come for him to leave Monaco for greener pastures.
Luring him to Vicente Calderon will be no easy task given that some of Europe’s top clubs are after his signature, but Atletico are ready to go the extra mile to win the chase.
Kurzawa recently broke into the national team set-up, featuring for France in friendly games against Albania and Sweden.
