Atletico Madrid are seriously considering a bid for Real Valladolid winger Patrick Ebert, AS has revealed.
After coach Diego Simeone expressed his disappointment with forward Adrian Lopez, los Colchoneros could decide to cash in on the highly rated player, especially as the interest in his services remains high.
AS understands that sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero believes Real Valladolid midfielder Patrick Ebert would be a perfect replacement for the Spain international.
Ebert, 25, arrived at the club on a free transfer from Hertha this summer, and has been in scintillating form this season.
The German midfielder not only scored 5 goals in 14 La Liga appearances, but also produced another 5 assists, thus helping his side climb to the top half of the standings.
In order to lure Patrick Ebert to Vicente Calderon, Atletico Madrid will have to match his €8 million release clause.
With the player himself set to earn 35% of his next transfer, Real Valladolid chiefs are not prepared to sell for anything less than €8 million.
