Spanish champions Atletico Madrid are considering a summer bid for River Plate defender Emanuel Mammana, according to Marca.
Los Colchoneros could stay without Joao Miranda at the end of the season and even though Toby Alderweireld will be back, they intend to add another central defender to their ranks.
Marca has suggested that Atletico could make a move on long-term target Emanuel Mammana, who has been watched on several occasions this season.
The 19-year-old has only made five league appearances for the Argentine giants, but he is widely regarded as one of club’s hottest prospects.
Mammana appears to be on the verge of nailing down a regular starting berth at River Plate, but there is a good chance he will be leaving the club as early as next summer.
Atletico have already inquired about the possibility of recruiting the talented defender at the end of the season, and are expected to step up their interest in the coming months.
