Atletico Madrid 1/9 to beat Qarabag in Tuesday’s Champions League clash

Competition: Champions League

Market: Atletico Madrid to beat Qarabag

Odds: 1/9 @ Bet365

The Champions League returns this week with a number of very interesting games. With just two matches left to play after this round of games, it is vital that every team takes all three points from their next game, or they could find themselves out of the competition with games to spare. One side in desperate need of a win is Atletico Madrid, and they take on Qarabag on Tuesday.

The draw for the group-stage was not a kind one for Atleti, Chelsea and Roma, with the three all having aspirations of progressing from their group. However, it has been the Spanish side that have fallen on the hardest times, Drawing two and losing one of their three games. This has seen Atleti sink to third in the group, two points behind Roma, and five behind Chelsea. A victory over Qarabag on Tuesday would revive their hopes though, as one, if not both of Chelsea and Roma will drop points in their encounter. With games left against both sides, Atleti know this is a must win if they are to give themselves any chance of progressing.

Qarabag picked up a very impressive point against Atletico in their last match and they will be hoping for more of the same this week too. Two defeats and a draw are perhaps as good as they could have hoped for considering the quality of the teams in their group, but they will be optimistic of causing an upset considering the struggles Atleti have encountered in the competition. Considering all factors, Bet365 have given the Spanish club odds of 1/9 to beat Qarabag.
