Atletico Madrid are readying summer bid for Hellas Verona forward Juan Manuel Iturbe, according to Marca.
Los Colchoneros are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements having sold Diego Costa and David Villa, and they seem to be hot on the trail of the Argentine starlet.
Marca has suggested that Atletico plan to offer €25 million plus Leo Baptistao in an attempt to win the race for the forward’s signature.
Hellas Verona exercised the option to sign Iturbe outright from FC Porto for €15 million after the youngster impressed during his loan spell, but the Gialloblu plan to cash in on the player at the earliest opportunity.
Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus and Bayern Munich have all been keeping close tabs on the 21-year-old, who has become one of world’s most sought-after players.
Iturbe enjoyed a very successful season with Verona last term, netting 8 times in 33 league appearances.
