Spanish media outlet Cadena SER understands that Atletico Madrid lead the chase for AS Monaco playmaker Thomas Lemar.
The Frenchman has become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers of late, with Arsenal and Liverpool already having big money bids rejected for his services.
Latest reports suggest that Lemar has set his sights on joining Atletico Madrid, but it remains to be seen whether the La Liga side will be able to reach an agreement with AS Monaco.
Thomas Lemar, 22, has so far managed 22 goals and 32 assists in 127 appearances for the Principality club, while scoring 3 times in 12 France caps.
The attacking midfielder should have a role to play for France at the 2018 World Cup finals, where Les Bleus are 11/2 to lift the coveted trophy.
