Atletico Madrid’s defender, Luis Amaranto Perea, will be out of action for around a month with a fractured left cheekbone. The Colombian defender received a mixed bag of news after he was discharged from hospital following a horror injury against Sevilla on Saturday.
The good news for the 30-year-old is that he did not suffer any further complications and he will not require any surgery. The player underwent a CAT scan on Sunday and he was cleared of any head trauma.
