Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal in the summer of 2021, according to La Razon, It has been reported that the Spanish club are looking at the France international striker as a potential replacement for Diego Costa.
The report in the Spanish outlet has claimed that Atletico wanted to sign the 29-year-old striker in the summer of 2020 and the player himself was keen on a switch to the La Liga outfit. However, Arsenal’s demands were too much for the former Spanish champions.
According to WhoScored, Lacazette has made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season, scoring three goals in the process, and has also played 84 minutes in the Europa League. During the 2019-20 campaign, the former Lyon striker scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 22 league starts and scored two goals in five Europa League matches for the North London club, according to WhoScored.
