Spanish media outlet OK Diario is reporting that Atletico Madrid are weighing up January bid for Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez.
The pact the two clubs had about not attempting to sign each other’s footballers was broken last summer as los Blancos snatched Theo Hernandez, and los Colchoneros now plan to get revenge on their bitter rivals.
Namely, Atletico Madrid have been showing interest in Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez, who might be looking to leave his current employers.
The 26-year-old has fallen behind Marco Asensio in the pecking order and having started just 3 league games this season, a January exit may be on the cards.
Atletico Madrid plan to shake up their attacking options when their transfer ban is lifted and they see Vazquez as a potentially good addition to the squad.
Los Colchoneros face Elche on the road in Copa del Rey later today and they are available at 2/9 to emerge victorious.
