Atletico Madrid eyeing Lyon starlet

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are hot on the trail of Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, according to L’Equipe.

Los Colchoneros have been far from impressed with the form of summer recruit Nicolas Gaitan, and they could decide to further reinforce their front line in January.

French media outlet L’Equipe claims that Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, who is widely linked with a move away from Parc OL.

While showing a great deal of potential since coming through the youth ranks at Lyon, the Algerian is likely to be available at a knock-down price, due to the fact that his current contract expires at the end of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain and few other top clubs have been closely monitoring the situation, and with Ghezzal unlikely to sign a new deal with les Gones, there is a good chance he will be sold in the winter transfer window.
