Los Colchoneros are in the market for attacking reinforcements having offloaded Yannick Ferreira Carrasco and Nicolas Gaitan to China, and they have been showing interest in the Yellow Submarine starlet.
Atletico scouts have been monitoring the player’s performances for quite some time and they believe he can be a good addition to Diego Simeone’s squad.
Samu Castillejo has done pretty well since joining from Malaga two and a half years ago, albeit scoring just 5 times in 80 La Liga matches.
At the same time, Atletico Madrid are keen on his teammate Rodri, who has impressed in the middle for the park for Villarreal.
