Atletico Madrid go after Bellerin

According to a recent report from El Desmarque, Atletico Madrid are interested in trying to sign Hector Bellerin this summer.

The Arsenal defender enjoyed a strong loan spell with Real Betis last season and as a result, he’s now a wanted man – with Betis themselves being interested in trying to sign him on a permanent deal.

The man behind the Atletico interest, however, is none other than Diego Simeone himself.

Atletico need to change things up in the wake of how their campaign went domestically last season and bringing in someone like Bellerin, who should be full of confidence, is a good way to go about doing that.

The 27-year-old is easily one of the most diverse defenders in the world on his best day but it does feel like, after so many years in the Premier League, he’s destined to search for consistent pastures new – most likely in Spain.
