Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are hoping to bring Monaco winger Bernardo Silva to Vicente Calderon in the coming days, according to Spanish daily newspaper AS.
Diego Simeone has decided to allow Oliver Torres, Diogo Jota and Javier Manquillo to leave the club on loan deals, but he now plans to sign another attack-minded footballer.
Reports from Spain claim that Atletico Madrid have made Bernardo Silva their number one target and they will use the trip to Champions League draw in Monaco to open talks for the Portuguese footballer.
The 22-year-old joined the Principality club two years ago from Benfica, in a €15 million deal, and he has another four years left on his contract.
Nevertheless, chances are that Monaco would consider any serious offer for his services, as they rarely pass up an opportunity to turn a profit on one of their talented members of the squad.
