El Mundo Deportivo claims that Atletico Madrid are hot on the trail of Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
Los Colchoneros are well aware that star player Antoine Griezmann could be leaving this summer and they want to have a replacement ready in case that happens.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, PSG striker Edinson Cavani is top of their wish list, and it is important to note that Atletico Madrid officials recently held a meeting with the Uruguayan and his official representatives.
The same source claims that the Uruguayan is happy to accept a pay cut in order to join los Colchoneros, but the deal is obviously dependent on Griezmann leaving.
Edinson Cavani, 31, has largely impressed since arriving in Paris, scoring 170 goals and setting up another 33 in 246 competitive appearances.
