Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are believed to be in advanced talks with Manchester City forward Nolito, AS can reveal.
Rafael Coto, the agent who represents both the Spaniard and Lazio striker Balde Diao Keita, today arrived at Vicente Calderon and it is thought that he is currently negotiating a deal that should take Nolito to Madrid.
Following the bright start to his career at Etihad Stadium, the 30-year-old struggled for playing time and he will probably be offloaded in the summer as manager Pep Guardiola no longer sees him as part of his first team plans.
But, having impressed during the three years at Celta Vigo, Nolito still has a lot of admirers in Spain, and Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone seems determined to bring him to Vicente Calderon.
At the same time, los Colchoneros are keeping close tabs on Lazio’s Balde Diao Keita, who will also be available for sale having rejected a new contract offer.
