Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Thomas Meunier from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. It has been reported that the defending Spanish champions are looking for a player who can play in a back-three and who can play as a full-back.
Meunier is one of the names on Atletico’s transfer list. The 30-year-old right-back has been on the books of Dortmund since 2020 when he joined as a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain. The Belgium international made 17 starts in the Bundesliga and four starts in the Champions League last season.
The 30-year-old has provided two assists in three Bundesliga appearances and has given one assist in one Champions League appearance for Dortmund so far this season.
