Atletico Madrid interested in Chelsea right-back Cesar Azpilicueta

Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea right-back Cesar Azpilicueta in the summer of 2022, according to Eurosport. The Spain international, who can also operate as a right-back, is out of contract at Chelsea in the summer of 2022, and defending Spanish giants Atletico are keen on securing his services on a free transfer.

Spanish and European giants Barcelona are also interested in Azpilicueta and are monitoring his situation at Chelsea. Talks between the 32-year-old and the defending European champions over a new deal are going on.

Azpilicueta has been on the books of Chelsea since 2012 and has been superb for the Premier League club over the years. The Chelsea no. 28 has made 306 appearances in the Premier League for the London club so far in his career, scoring nine goals in the process.
