Spanish daily newspaper AS has suggested that Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on Torino midfielder Daniele Baselli.
The 25-year-old has largely impressed since joining Granata from Atalanta and he is now being linked with a big club move.
It is no secret that just about every top side in Italy are hot on his trail, but now Atletico Madrid have joined the race as well.
Considering that Gabi and Tiago Mendes are not getting any younger, Diego Simeone wants to add some fresh blood to the midfield are and he has set his sights on Baselli.
The highly rated footballer managed 5 goals and 4 assists in 26 Serie A starts this season, and he is being tipped to be handed his Italy debut in the near future.
Baselli’s current deal runs until June 2019, but he was recently offered a three-year extension with a significant pay rise.
