German daily newspaper Bild claims that Atletico Madrid are hot on the trail of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
The Germany starlet has become one of Europe’s most sought-after footballers, and he has been heavily linked with a summer move to Real Madrid.
However, Bild claims that Atletico Madrid have also joined the chase for his signature having watched the 21-year-old in Leipzig’s 2-0 triumph over Augsburg.
Los Colchoneros are well aware that star forward Antoine Griezmann could leave the club next summer and they see Werner as a great long-term replacement.
The highly rated striker has so far scored 31 goals in 51 Bundesliga appearances for RB Leipzig, while netting 7 times in 10 Germany caps.
