Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu could leave the Bundesliga outfit this summer after an impressive season in the German top flight last term.
The 22-year-old centre-back made 26 Bundesliga outings and scored a goal during the 2017/18 campaign with his exploits alarming the Premier League giants Arsenal.
The latest reports coming from the Spanish media outlet Sport have it that Atletico Madrid are also casting admiring glances towards the Turkish international.
La Liga giants are said to be searching for long-term replacement for Diego Godin and Soyuncu has been identified as a perfect choice. A promising Freiburg defender fits the mould at Atletico Madrid who are pondering a summer swoop for the player.
Freiburg are said to be hoping fo pocket around €30 million but Los Colchineros do not seem willing to go beyond the €20 million mark.
The reason why Freiburg are holding their ground over a transfer fee is the fact they need to pay 25% of the future transfer to Caglar’s boyhood club Altinordu.
