Atletico Madrid are eyeing a move for Manchester United midfielder Ander Hererra, according to the Mirror.
The twenty-eight year old will move into the final year of his contract in the summer and Atleti are considering giving him the chance to return to his home country.
Herrera was a key member of Jose Mourinho’s squad last season, helping them to glory in both the League Cup and the Europa League.
However, he has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, with the Spain international making just five starts in the Premier League.
In total, he has racked up one hundred and thirty-seven appearances for the Red Devils, scoring fifteen goals.
As well as last season’s success he picked up an FA Cup winners medal in 2016 while internationally, he won the second of his two caps for his country in a friendly victory over France back in March.
