Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Luis Alberto from Lazio in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that the former La Liga champions could sell Rodrigo De Paul and Thomas Lemar, and a potential deal for Luis Alberto could happen as a replacement.
Luis Alberto has been on the books of Lazio since 2016 and has established himself as one of the better attacking players in Serie A. The 30-year-old Spanish midfielder has scored three goals and given one assist in five starts and eight substitute appearances in Serie A and has scored one goal and provided one assist in four UEFA Europa League matches so far this season.
Lazio are fourth in the Serie A table at the moment with 30 points from 15 matches, as many as 11 points behind leaders Napoli. Meanwhile, Atletico currently find themselves fifth in the La Liga table with 24 points from 14 matches.
