Having already enjoyed a fruitful business relationship with Manchester United, Portuguese footballing super-agent Jorge Mendes, who happens to represent Jose Mourinho himself, is attempting to close another deal with the Premier League club.
Red Devils have reportedly been offered Mendes’ young client Bernard Mensah, the talented 21-year-old Ghana international midfielder.
This highly-rated footballer came through the ranks of Vitoria Guimaraes before signing a six-year deal with Atletico Madrid last season. The Ghanian midfielder is yet to make his mark with Los Colchoneros however as he was immediately loaned out to Getafe upon his signature with Vicente Calredon club.
Mensah failed to make his mark after playing only 10 games for La Liga outfit last term and was ultimately sent back to his former club Vitoria Guimaraes this summer to gain first-team experience before he is given a chance at Atletico.
Jorge Mendes is however looking to take his client away from the club and the Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo report on Monday that Mensah has been recommended to Manchester United, who have watched the midfielder on multiple occasions so far and in Vitoria’s 1-1 draw with Belenenses this Saturday.
Spanish side Sevilla and French outfit Monaco are also tracking the highly-rated midfielder.
