Atletico Madrid possible destination for Matic

Nemanja Matic’s future has been up in the air for some time. Last summer, many Manchester United fans have felt that it could be the right time to sell the Serbian midfielder, but after numerous departures, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad would have been left too thin in that department.

Then it was Inter Milan linked with a move, basically ever since the summer transfer window had ended. But now, a new player is here. Atletico Madrid are reportedly chasing the signature of Nemanja Matic, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The reputable sources claim that Atletico might try to capitalize on his situation already in January transfer window.

Matic’s contract ends in the summer of 2020 which means he could leave Old Trafford as a free agent, but Atletico might be ready to pay something in order to get him six months earlier. Alternatively, they could sign him on a pre-contract agreement for the start of next season, too.
